Designs based on rock textures go quite well in the kitchen. Being a masculine interior, or contrasting softer designs. In many kitchens the counter top is already black, grey or stoney. There already exists tough materials like wall ceramic tiles and steel equipment. Fridge and stove might be metallic, too.
Rock surfaces will go well with most of this. It's up to you whether you like all of it, or just a touch here and there. Kitchen towels, mugs, wall clocks, place mats and more.
